Each year we produce our guide: ‘A School Leaver’s Guide to Career Options’ which is designed to educate young people about all of the options that are available to them when they leave school or college. As well as containing plenty of pages filled with career and application advice, the guide also contains the Top 70 School Leaver Employers Table, which allows young people to see which companies run the best programmes, based on the real experiences of their peers.

The Top 70 School Leaver Employers Table is based on the thousands of company reviews that are submitted to RateMyApprenticeship.co.uk each year by school and college leavers. As it’s based entirely on authentic, peer-to-peer feedback, we’re happy to say that each year the table is an accurate reflection of the best employer programmes in the school leaver market.

Friendly, fun and informative

Our guide is designed to stand out from the crowd by offering information and advice in a fun and friendly way. We combine key facts, case studies, and company profiles with quizzes and hot topics to keep young people engaged. By knowing what our audience wants and incorporating a prospectus-like design, we’re able to compete in this crowded market and ensure that the guide’s content is relevant, appealing and user-friendly.

Much like RateMyApprenticeship.co.uk, the guide’s accompanying website, the advice content that complements the Top 70 School Leaver Employers Table is designed to be useful and insightful for school and college leavers. We want to educate them about all of the paths that are available, enabling them to then make an informed decision about their future career.

Each year, we send 5 copies of ‘A School Leaver’s Guide to Career Options’ to every school, college and sixth form in the UK, providing them with a further opportunity to order more. Our guides also find their way to many fairs and events across the country throughout the year. In fact, this year we’re distributing 50,000 copies, offering the featured companies brilliant exposure to thousands of school and college leavers nationwide. We’ve also received glowing feedback from teachers, careers advisors and parents showing just how valued the guide is.
